Hickey gets a chance in New Jersey
The New Jersey Devils have offered defenseman Thomas Hickey a pro tryout.
Former Islanders, Hickey will try to break through the alignment of the Devils. Slowed down by injuries, the Calgary native has only been able to play 7 games in the NHL in the last two campaigns.
The fourth overall pick in 2007 by the Los Angeles Kings, Hickey has 22 goals and 95 assists in 456 career games so far.
At 33, he will try to find his place in a fairly experienced Devils defensive squad.
