Earlier this summer, before the NHL draft, general manager Lou Lamoriello noted that he still didn’t know if veteran Zach Parise would join his team for another NHL campaign.
A few days before the opening of camp, the answer is not always clear, but Lamoriello does not close the door in the case of his veteran.
Lou Lamoriello says Zach Parise will not come to camp with the #Isles. Did not rule out something later in the season but says Parise is home in Minnesota.

The GM clarified, during a meeting with the media, that Parise will not be present at camp while he is at home with his family in Minnesota.
On the other hand, Lamoriello did not want to rule out the possibility that Parise would join the team during the season.
In 18 seasons, the 17th pick of the 2003 draft could reach the plateau of 900 career points by continuing the adventure, he who currently stands at 879 points (132nd pointer in NHL history)
In his second season with the Islanders, Parise scored 21 goals in addition to 13 assists.
