NHL: Kirill Kaprizov extends his winning streak

Matt Boldy found the back of the net in the shootout to give the Minnesota Wild a 5-4 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday afternoon.

It’s a third straight win for the Wild, which has won five of its last six games. As for the Ducks, they lost in a fifth game in a row.

With almost three minutes left in the third period, Kirill Kaprizov sent the game into overtime by tying the game at 4-4 on a one-timer from the slot. His 15th goal of the season extended his streak to 11 games with at least one point (7 goals, 11 assists).

Besides Kaprizov, Calen Addison, Connor Dewar, Joel Eriksson Ek contributed to the victory of the Wild with a goal.

In the loss, Ducks keeper John Gibson managed to stop 44 of the Wild’s 48 shots.

Mason McTavish, Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras all had two points in the Anaheim camp.
