MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens learned some very bad news on Tuesday morning.
He listed forwards Juraj Slafkovsky, Joel Armia and Jake Evans on the injured list. The first pick in the last draft is suffering from a lower-body injury, as has Evans, while Armia suffered an upper-body injury.
All three will be out indefinitely and will undergo further evaluation in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Sean Monahan’s name has been placed on the long-term injured list due to a lower-body injury. “He continues his training on ice alone and is progressing well,” the Canadian said in a statement.
These injuries forced the Habs to urgently recall forwards Rafaël Harvey-Pinard and Rem Pitlick from the Laval Rocket in the American League. They also participated in morning training, a few hours before the visit of the Winnipeg Jets to the Bell Centre.
Harvey-Pinard has 15 goals and 10 assists in 37 games this season with the Rocket. For his part, Pitlick scored five goals and had 17 assists in 18 games with the team led by head coach Jean-François Houle.
Pitlick also scored in 14 games with the Bleu-blanc-rouge this season.
Finally, Quebec forward Jonathan Drouin did not participate in morning training in order to undergo treatment.
