The Montreal Canadiens traded defender Corey Schueneman to the Laval Rocket of the American League on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old has been back and forth between the NHL and the AHL several times this season, so he has yet to play a game with the Canadiens or the Rocket.
In 24 games with the Habs last year, he had 2 goals and 4 assists. With the Rocket, he tallied 4 goals and 7 assists in 32 games.
The Rocket hosts the Belleville Senators tonight at Place Bell. Schueneman trained with the team in the morning.
