NHL: David Pastrnak plays heroes in overtime against the Senators

OTTAWA – David Pastrnak played heroes in overtime as the Boston Bruins beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2 on Saturday night.

Pastrnak accepted a cross pass from Taylor Hall and fired a one-timer that beat Anton Forsberg 2:42 into overtime.

Jake DeBrusk and Brandon Carlo also scored for the Bruins, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Jeremy Swayman made 29 saves.

Tim Stützle and Nick Holden replied for the Senators, who got a 30-save performance from Forsberg.

Holden forced overtime when his shot from the slot eluded Swayman’s vigilance with less than four minutes remaining in the third period.
