It didn’t take long for Za’Darius Smith to find a team. Barely 2 days after being released by the Packers, the pass rusher joined the Ravens according to ESPN. The contract covers 4 years and 35 million dollars. This is a homecoming for the 29-year-old player who has already played in Maryland from 2015 to 2018.
After two stellar seasons at Green Bay marked by a 2nd team All Pro selection and 26 sacks, Smith has only played one game in 2021 due to a back injury that required surgery. Drafted in the 4th round by Baltimore in 2015, Smith therefore made his return under the orders of John Harbaugh.
Former Packers’ pass rusher Za’Darius Smith is signing a four-year, $35 million deal that has a max value of $50 million with the Baltimore Ravens, per source.
