Not everyone can beat the salary cap with the skill of the Saints. In any case, on the side of the Vikings, we decided to save money.
The Minnesota franchise cut Eric Kendricks on Monday, notably to save $9.5 million in its budget. This allows them to be “only” $14.9 million over the limit. We will still have to shake things up to drop below the 224.8 million mark before March 15.
At 31, Kendricks has spent all eight years of his career in the purple jersey. Last season, he was his team’s leading tackler, with 137 goals in 17 games. It has been seven straight campaigns that he has finished with more than 100 tackles. He was also one of the captains of the Vikings.
Kendricks was a first-team All-Pro in the 2019 season. There should be no shortage of teams interested in his services.
