Trent Williams advised by LeBron James

Trent Williams (OT, Niners) hopes to continue playing in the NFL for a little longer. The veteran is no longer young. In fact, it has 36 springs on the clock. At this level, any advice is good to take to improve its longevity. And who better than LeBron James, 39 years old, 21 seasons NBA series in progress, to advise the tackle.

Between Californians, we understand each other. Following San Francisco's loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII, Williams and some of his teammates took a little vacation. They stayed at a property owned by Peyton Manning in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. As luck would have it, the neighbor was none other than… LeBron James. The four-time NBA champion even paid them a little visit. The All-Pro left tackle took the opportunity to learn a little more about the secrets of longevity from the Lakers star.

“When you see and talk to a guy like that it’s always beneficial. He's playing and going hard at the highest level we've ever seen. Plus it shows no signs of slowing down… So that confirms to me that it can be done,” he confided during an interview with Nick Wagoner (ESPN).

If Trent Williams also took the opportunity to ask LeBron James how to overcome a defeat in the final, the discussion mainly revolved around different advice regarding diet, training and recovery. These parameters are essential for all athletes. This is all the more true for players of the build of Trent Williams. The Niners star measures 1m96 and weighs 144 kilos. In his 14th season, he was an 11-time Pro Bowler and 3-time 1st team All-pro. He's accomplished just about everything except a title. If he continues to play for a few more seasons at the highest level, Williams and San Francisco may have a final chance to obtain the Holy Grail.
