The Tennessee defensive line deprived of its key player for the last games without stakes for its team.
The Titans have decided to place Jeffery Simmons (DT) on the injured list according to ESPN. This means an end to the season for the defensive tackle, as it requires 4 games before being active in the squad again. Already eliminated from the playoffs, with nothing left to play, Tennessee is therefore not taking risks with the star player of Mike Vrabel's defense.
Jeffery Simmons, extended last offseason, is dealing with a knee injury suffered in the last game against the division rival Colts. He therefore finished his season with 44 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble (1 covered), and 1 pass defended in 12 games. Tennessee has not communicated on a potential return date for next season.
In addition to Simmons, the Titans also placed Jack Gibbens (LB) and Luke Gifford (LB) on injured reserve.
