Titans announce deal for new indoor stadium

Nashville wants to build to host the Super Bowl.

Why renovate the old when you can build new for little more?

After 23 years of existence, Nissan Stadium in Nashville is requiring an estimated $1.8 billion in renovations, an expense that Mayor John Cooper called “financially irresponsible” according to ESPN. He therefore reached an agreement with the Titans for the construction of a new enclosure according to Axios, although this remains to be ratified by the metropolitan council.

The project would concern a stadium of almost 16 hectares for an amount of 2.2 billion dollars. With a view to hosting the Super Bowl and other major events, the idea would be to build a dome.

The owners of the franchise would enter the project to the tune of 800 million, when the State would go for a financing of 500 million for its part. Part of the rest would be obtained through hotel and consumption taxes.
