The Steelers get even stronger with Preston Smith

After ten seasons in the NFL, Preston Smith will discover the AFC conference. ESPN announces that the pass rusher has been transferred by the Packers to the Steelers.

Compensation? A choice in the 7th round of the Draft which falls into the hands of Green Bay.

Smith adds depth to what is already one of the best defenses in the NFL, under the leadership of TJ Watt, Cameron Heyward and Joey Porter.

A Steelers team visibly full of ambition, since it had already strengthened a few minutes earlier in attack, with the arrival of receiver Mike Williams.

Preston Smith, discreet but effective

Without ever being a superstar, Preston Smith was able to carve out a solid starting place in the NFL. This year, he had already managed 2.5 sacks with Green Bay.

Above all, he regularly brings pressure and only misses very few matches. He started every game for Green Bay the previous two seasons, as well as this year. Over his entire career, which began in 2015, he has only missed one game. He was selected in the second round by Washington. After four seasons in the capital, he headed to Green Bay.

With even more talent around him, the pass rusher should be able to have a blast in Pittsburgh.
