Finally a new helmet for Detroit. And blue too.
Lions have almost always sported a silver helmet. A change was needed. It is now done sinceafter an appetizer on Twitterthe Detroit franchise presented an alternative blue-colored helmet.
The lion depicted on the helmet also changes. Place now in a retro logo dating from the sixties and taking up the aesthetics of the mythical Ford Mustang.
As they explain, the idea was to celebrate their 90th season through this retro logo paying homage to “the heritage of the franchise”.
This helmet will only be worn with the completely gray uniform.
