Almost.
On the night of Thursday to Friday, the Cardinals presented their three new sets of jerseys. Outfits much more refined than those they wore since 2005. Return to the simplicity that had prevailed since the beginnings of the franchise, first in Chicago, then in Saint Louis and Phoenix.
The away white jersey is totally simple, or almost. The team name is slipped on the sleeve. Same for the black alternate outfit.
More difficult to explain, the red jersey provided at home is adorned with a huge “Arizona” on the chest. A touch of text that had not necessarily worked wonders in Cleveland, or more recently with the Jets and Falcons.
At least the heavy yokes typical of the 2000s are finally put away. But we just miss the clear round.
