Three-time Pro Bowler Zach Ertz is now available for the end of the season.
First announced by JJ Watt and confirmed by ESPN, Zach Ertz’s (TE) adventure with the Cardinals ends this Thursday. The Arizona franchise will cut the tight end and he will be subject to waivers.
According to ESPN, at the player’s request, both parties mutually agreed on this move. Thus, the Cardinals choose to continue the season with second-year player Trey McBride (TE). And, this decision leaves the possibility for Ertz to find a franchise for the end of the season.
Traded in 2021 to the Eagles, Ertz’s 2023 season remains mixed. The veteran has been on the injured list with a quadriceps injury since October 24. In seven games, his statistics are 187 yards on 27 receptions for a touchdown. Despite this, the three-time Pro Bowler will be an interesting name on the list of available players.
