Mike Evans is a legend
Author of yet another high-flying performance this weekend, Mike Evans continues to add a little more to the legend of the Buccaneers and the league. With his 162 yards, the receiver has just exceeded 1000 yards. This is the 10th time in 10 seasons that Evans has crossed this mark. Only Jerry Rice did better.
Mike Evans is an outstanding receiver and is getting ever closer to the golden jacket.
Dak Prescott at the top
Without making much noise, Dak Prescott is having his best career season. With 26 touchdowns thrown, Dak Prescott is number 1 in the league. He also ranks among the very best whether in passing percentage (2nd) or even QB rating (2nd).
Beyond the numbers, Prescott also impresses with the quality of his game and managed to erase his turnovers from last year. Services which did not go unnoticed in the editorial staff.
Of course, Prescott's real test will be during the playoffs. But the quarterback will probably never have arrived in such good shape in the final phase.
A new king in NFC…
The match between the Eagles and the 49ers was awaited by everyone. The two teams were big favorites in the NFC before the start of the season. A status that the two franchises have confirmed so far.
If the Eagles had the best record before this match, the 49ers made a strong impression by crushing Philadelphia in all areas of play. With this victory, San Francisco is still not number 1 in terms of record but is in terms of ground.
…and a new great rivalry
What is also certain is that these confrontations between the Eagles and the 49ers are giving rise to a new great rivalry in the league. After the NFC final last year, this Sunday's match was once again very tense, like the expulsion of Greenlaw.
We can't wait to see the two franchises cross swords again in the playoffs.
The Texans are also Will Anderson
With this crucial victory against a rival for a place in the playoff, the Texans are getting closer to a goal that seemed unattainable at the start of the season. If the Texas team is here, it is of course thanks to its rookie quarterback and its new coach. But not only…
Indeed, this weekend it was Will Anderson who burst onto the screen. The 3rd pick of the last Draft showed all his talent with 2 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, 4 QB hits and 8 pressures in total. The new cornerstone of DeMeco Ryans' defensive system, Anderson is already a leader and has changed the face of this defense.
Surprise (no), Bailey Zappe is not the solution
0 points scored, a dismal offensive performance. The Patriots once again shone with their draw this Sunday. Except this time, we can't accuse Mac Jones on the bench. It was Bailey Zappe at center. And certainly Zappe is not a solution for this attack.
Tyreek Hill Offensive Player of the Season
As it is impossible (or almost…) for a receiver to obtain the title of MVP, we must fall back on the title of offensive player of the year. In this little game, it is complicated not to give Tyreek Hill the advantage, especially with the Dolphins number 1 in the AFC.
The receiver was again omnipresent this Sunday with 157 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns. This season Hill is number 1 in yards gained, touchdowns, receptions of +20 yards, first downs obtained and yards after reception. Simply monstrous.
Green Bay is doing better
With 3 wins in a row, the Packers are doing much better. 26 points scored on average, 20 points conceded… Green Bay is in good shape on both sides of the ball and Jordan Love embodies this progression better than anyone.
With a 6-6 record and an affordable schedule until the end of the season, the Packers are more than ever in the race for the playoffs. A great potential success for Jordan Love's first year at the center of the attack.
