Drake Maye is too lonely
Author of one of the actions of the year to secure the extension, Drake Maye once again demonstrated his full potential this week. But the lack of a cast around him is really a problem. The line is ghostly, the receivers uninspired and the ground game doesn't exist.
Maye is the first stone of reconstruction, but other stones will be needed to build a castle. The road seems long.
The Jets are not dead
In an increasingly homogeneous AFC, the Jets are still in the race for the playoffs. In a tough game against the injury-decimated Texans, Aaron Rodgers had his best game of the season, and Garrett Wilson took advantage.
With an affordable schedule over the coming weeks, a fantastic comeback is far from unthinkable.
Jameis Winston is not the savior
The hope lasted for the space of a game, but Cleveland fell back to earth. Jameis Winston threw 3 interceptions, and looking at the game that's almost a “low” total. Cleveland is definitely in NFL limbo, and will have to go through this season in the shadows.
Dallas in crisis
The Dallas Cowboys lost a football game, that's bad news. But in addition Dak Prescott and Ceedee Lamb seem severely affected.
Already far behind in the NFC East, the Cowboys do not have enough talent to overcome these possible absences. Did the season end in Atlanta? It's not impossible.
The NFC West is the big bazaar
A victory is all that separates the leader of the West division (Cardinals) from the bottom of this same division (Seahawks). If the 49ers remain favorites on paper, each team can dream of division and playoffs.
With an NFL calendar that always concentrates divisional duels in the final weeks, the NFC West should be thrilling until the end.
Detroit is unsinkable
The Lions are the favorites in the NFC, and there isn't even the beginning of a debate. The passing game is superbly handled by Jared Goff, the ground game is lethal and the line is the best in the NFL.
With the added bonus of the progression of the defense, this team is the most complete in the NFL. What to dream of Super Bowl and ring, even if the road will be long.
