Los Angeles won't have to wait long before seeing the Super Bowl in its city again. After the 56th edition, in February 2022, which saw the victory of the Rams against the Bengals, SoFi Stadium will once again host the most anticipated event on the American sports calendar in 2027. The NFL made it official on his social networks this Wednesday.
We had to wait 29 years and the construction of a new stadium to see the Super Bowl return to the City of Angels. Super Bowl LVI was such a success that the NFL doesn't seem to want to wait any longer to return to Southern California. Roger Goodell, the league's commissioner, explained this choice in a press release.
“We are very excited to bring the Super Bowl back to Los Angeles for the second time in five years. The city did an outstanding job hosting Super Bowl LVI at the incredible SoFi Stadium and we believe Super Bowl LXI will be even more memorable. The Los Angeles Rams, the Los Angeles Host Committee and many other exceptional partners will help create a week of unforgettable events, culminating with Super Bowl Sunday in 2027, which will celebrate the region as the epicenter of sports, entertainment and culture. »
In addition to the upcoming Super Bowl, which will be held in Las Vegas, we therefore know the hosts of the following three editions: 2025 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, 2026 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, and therefore Los Angeles for 2027.
