Texans: JJ Watt will join the “Ring of Honor”

During the game against the Steelers, on October 1, 2023, the Texans will celebrate JJ Watt

The three-time defensive MVP called it quits at the end of his second year with the Cardinals.

However, he will be remembered as a Texans player. This Monday, the Houston franchise announced that it would induct JJ Watt into the “Ring of Honor”.

The ceremony will take place in the presence of his brother TJ Watt during the game against the Steelers on October 1st.

Watt will be the third to enter the Texans’ Ring of Honor. He will join franchise founder Bob McNair and All-Pro receiver Andre Johnson.

Houston drafted Watt eleventh in 2011. He made franchise history during his ten seasons in Texas.

JJ Watt holds the franchise sack record with a career-high 101 (114.5). He also has the record for quarterback hits (281), multi-sack games (26), forced fumbles (25) and covered fumbles (16).

In a video on the Houston site, JJ Watt reminisces about his time in Texas and thanks the fans.
