Teddy Bridgewater comes out of retirement and joins the Lions

He is retired, he is 32 years old and yet he is coming back! According to information from NFL Network, veteran Teddy Bridgewater is returning to the NFL. He will sign with the Lions. Probably to become Jared Goff's new understudy. But for that, you will first have to take the place of Hendon Hooker, number 2 in the hierarchy of quarterbacks.

Having become coach of a high school team in Florida, Miami Northwestern High, Teddy Bridgewater won the state trophy in 2024. He is coming out of retirement to put on the gloves again and perhaps participate in his first Super Bowl alongside the Dan Campbell's men.

Bridgewater, team change specialist

What we remember most about his career is that he played for NFL franchises. First selected in the first round of the 2014 draft by the Vikings, he landed with the Jets at the end of his rookie contract. Then, Bridgewater was traded to the Saints, until he signed a contract with the Panthers in 2020. The quarterback was traded again to the Broncos, before finally joining the Dolphins and then the Lions in 2023.

The news is, in any case, logical. Just a few days ago, he told NFL Network that he wanted to return to the big leagues. A final thrill for the veteran before fully embracing his coaching career?
