Steelers – Packers (23-19): Pittsburgh’s defense always triumphs

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3) – Green Bay Packers (3-6): 23-19

As expected. Less than five minutes to play, the Packers attack to take the lead. They are only four points behind. Jordan Love (21/40, 289 yards, 2 TDs, 2 int) looks for Christian Watson (2 rec, 23 yards), Keanu Neal emerges for the interception.

Green Bay recovers the ball with a minute on the clock and arrives 16 yards from the end zone for one last chance? Damontae Kazee takes care of intercepting Love once again. Game, set and match.

The Packers were close to going ahead throughout the second half, but Pittsburgh’s defense never let them.

The Steelers start strong

Everything started in the best possible way for Kenny Pickett and his attack. A touchdown from Najee Harris (16 races, 82 yards, 1 TD) on the first series of the match (7-0). Another for Jaylen Warren (15 races, 101 yards, 1 TD) in the second (14-7). The running duo does the job and Kenny Pickett (14/23, 126 yards) makes a few good passes. Even if the Packers scored with Romeo Doubs (3 rec, 21 yards, 1 TD), Pittsburgh seems hot.

Except it’s already over. In any case when it comes to visiting the end zone. A field goal widens the gap (17-7), but the Packers hang on. Jayden Reed (5 rec, 84 yards, 1 TD) scores to bring his team closer (17-13).

So close, so far…

After the break, Green Bay came back (17-16) for the first time, then went ahead (17-19). It doesn’t last. George Pickens (3 rec, 45 yards) catches a 28-yard pass, and Pittsburgh scores on the kick (20-19).

The punts keep coming. Until a new field goal from the Steelers (23-19). The defense completes the affair with the two interceptions. And here is a new victory assured by TJ Watt (1 sack) and his comrades.
