Kenny Pickett and the Steelers offense definitely can't get going this season. While Pittsburgh fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada, there was some improvement.
But on Sunday, for his second game without Canada, Pickett was out with an ankle injury.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the quarterback will have to have surgery. He is expected to miss 2 to 4 weeks of competition. The Steelers have already had their bye week. So it will be 2 to 4 games without Kenny Pickett for them.
Kenny Pickett and the Steelers in search of rhythm
Even without Matt Canada, Pickett's stats and his offense haven't taken off. The quarterback has not thrown a single touchdown in the last four games. That means he hasn't found the end zone since November 3!
He has thrown just one touchdown in the last seven games. In the end, he was a little more productive at the start of the season, with five touchdowns in the first five games.
Mitchell Trubisky will take command of the attack. He has thrown two touchdowns and two interceptions in three games for Pittsburgh this year.
