The All-Pro linebacker chose between the Eagles and the Cowboys. A one-year contract to perhaps go for the title.
The decision is made, it will be destination Philadelphia as confirmed by ESPN.
After being cut by the Colts two weeks ago, Shaquille Leonard was in contact with several teams, including the Eagles and Cowboys. But now the choice is made. Direction Pennsylvania, for a one-year commitment.
At 28 years old, Leonard retains the potential of a premium player. Since his selection in the second round of the 2018 draft, he has been selected to the Pro Bowl four times, and named All-Pro three times. If his production declined in 2022 and 2023, he leaves Indianapolis with 614 tackles, 15 sacks, 31 deflected passes, 12 interceptions, and 17 forced fumbles including 7 covered.
The Eagles will, however, have to be aware that Leonard has back issues, which has limited him to 9 games this season. But if he returns to form, he will be a strong addition for NFC East contenders.
