Shaq Barrett, recently released by the Buccaneers, is finally staying in sunny Florida. According to Bleacher Report, the pass rusher will commit to the Dolphins. The contract would be for one year for an amount of 9 million dollars.
After losing Andrew Van Ginkel in particular, Miami decided to strengthen its line. The 31-year-old therefore joins a strong rotation of Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb.
Having passed through the Broncos, Shaq Barrett really exploded upon arriving in Tampa Bay. Author of 19.5 sacks in 2019, he was notably named to the 2nd All Pro team that season. A strong link in the Buccs' defense that led to the Super Bowl, Barrett has fallen into the lineup the last two seasons with only 7.5 sacks in 24 games.
