Seattle Seahawks (4-5) – Los Angeles Rams (4-4): 26-20 after overtime
In a very tight NFC West division before this 9th week of the regular season, this meeting between the Seahawks and the Rams had to end beyond regulation time.
Man of the match is Rams receiver DeMarcus Robinson. Author of 2 touchdowns, including the winning reception on a magical pass from Matthew Stafford, he allowed the Rams to get back into the race for first place in the division.
With this 4th cruel defeat in 5 games, the Seahawks are falling a little further into line. The bye week comes at just the right time for a team that has failed to be clutch at the decisive moment.

Punt, punt, punt, punt, punt, punt, punt, punt.
This is how we start this first half. Uninspired, the two teams are muzzled by very solid defenses. Between these 8 punts, Geno Smith (21/34, 363 yards, 3 TDs, 3 INTs), frustrated and not helped by Jaxon Smith-Njigba, throws an interception.
Fortunately, opposite, Matthew Stafford (25/44, 298 yards, 2 TDs, INT) is not helped either. The Rams quarterback only has Cooper Kupp (11 REC, 104 yards) and DeMarcus Robinson (6 REC, 94 yards, 2 TDs) to catch his throws. Kyren Williams (22 races, 69 yards) is blocked and Puka Nacua is muzzled. No doubt frustrated, the receiver will find himself expelled after a punch on the helmet of Tyrel Dodson, following an interception by Tariq Woolen.
This action livens up the end of the first half with the Seahawks taking off through Tyler Lockett (3 REC, 63 yards, TD) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (7 REC, 180 yards, 2 TDs). Before that, the Rams had scored the first points of the game 5 minutes from the end of the half.
DeMarcus Robinson eclipses Jaxon Smith-Njigba
While the Seahawks believe they have the momentum with this significant advantage, the Rams come back with better intentions. Matthew Stafford finds DeMarcus Robinson for his 4th touchdown in the last 4 games.
The Seahawks mess up their football, and see the Rams come back, then pass them in front of the score. Mike McDonald's men think they have a chance with a punt blocked by Cody White. But, disturbed by the defensive pressure, Geno Smith throws another interception. After returning for a 103-yard touchdown, rookie safety Kamren Kinchens prevents the Seahawks from coming back to score.
The Rams are running the clock, but are going to be guilty of their complacency. The Seahawks are not giving up, and may have found their future number 1 receiver in the absence of DK Metcalf. After a touchdown in the first half, Jaxon Smith-Njigba allowed the Seahawks to equalize and win overtime.
An extension where Smith-Njigba shows himself again. But, in wanting to force the decision on a touchdown, the Seahawks end up getting burned. Matthew Stafford's response is therefore not long in coming. Rams quarterback proves he's still a quality player, and proves it with a player-worthy pass clutch for Rams hero DeMarcus Robinson.
