We thought they were revived after three interesting games, but the Raiders have plunged again. Head first. In an empty swimming pool. In seven offensive series, Derek Carr (15/26, 101 yards, 1 int) and his teammates have not once set foot in the opposing half! In total, they gained 119 yards.
A distressing performance, resulting in five punts, an interception and a failure on fourth attempt.
There was nothing on the Vegas side. No imagination. No efficiency. Josh Jacobs (10 races, 43 yards) fell back to earth. Davante Adams (5 times targeted, 1 rec, 3 yards) and Hunter Renfrow (1 rec, 6 yards) did not exist. Josh McDaniels never found solutions.
Alvin Kamara on fire
The Saints, they relied on a man: Alvin Kamara (18 races, 62 yards, 1 TD – 9 rec, 96 yards, 2 TDs). The do-it-all runner scored a touchdown on the ground and then another on the receiving end to allow his team to lead 17-0 at the break.
Just after halftime, this same Kamara caught a pass for a gain of 36 yards and a new touchdown. At 24-0, the case was therefore closed with still more than 11 minutes to play in the third quarter.
New Orleans was then able to roll out long offensives to eat up the clock, while stopping the unfortunate opposing attempts. Andy Dalton (22/30, 229 yards, 2 TDs) did not have to force. Taysom Hill (10 carries, 61 yards) made a few entries. The attack did not lose a single ball. The defense has accumulated 4 sacks. The ideal scenario
So defeated, the Raiders even ended up throwing Jarrett Stidham onto the field for the final offensive. And on this eighth possession, he managed the feat of going to see what was happening on the opposing field. He approached six short yards from the end zone, but the clock fell to zero.
