The story between Cameron Jordan and the Saints began in the first round of the Draft in 2011. It will continue for a few more years.
NFL Media announces that the defensive end has signed a 2-year, $27.5 million contract extension. The player was entering his last year of contract. With these two additional years, he is therefore engaged until the end of the 2025 campaign.
At 34, Jordan is already the player with the most sacks in New Orleans franchise history, with 115.5. He will have another three years to improve on this mark. In twelve seasons, he played 192 games for the Saints, the team’s fourth total. If he goes to the end of the contract, he could well approach, see exceed, the leader Drew Brees (228).
Jordan is an eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro team selection.
