Ravens: Zay Flowers absent for the first game of the play-offs

Ouch. Zay Flowers (WR) has officially been announced as a non-starter by the Ravens for the game against the Steelers. And not just any game, it's the first round of the play-offs that the receiver will miss.

Zay Flowers is currently dealing with a knee injury sustained during the last regular season game against the Browns. The former Boston College player is having an interesting second season, as evidenced by his 74 receptions for 1,059 yards and 4 touchdowns. These numbers opened the doors to the Pro Bowl, a first for a Baltimore Ravens receiver

Without Zay Flowers what solutions?

The most to complain about is definitely Lamar Jackson (QB). The quarterback loses his most prolific receiver at the worst time. Nevertheless, the Ravens still have great weapons to showcase, fruit of the work of GM Eric DeCosta.

The ground attack will again be a key point. Derrick Henry (RB) came close to 2000 yards this season and Lamar Jackson is still elusive (45 broken tackles, 1er QBs). The good news is that Zay Flowers, while he is a yard producer, is not the player who scores the most points. Mark Andrews (TE, 11 touchdowns) and Rashod Bateman (WR, 9 touchdowns) are still there to score.

John Harbaugh (HC) embraces this observation according to The Athletic. “We still have a lot of weapons and Lamar will distribute the ball the way he wants.”
