Ravens – Lions (38-6): Detroit humiliated by Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens (5-2) – Detroit Lions (5-2): 38-6

With a record of five victories in six games, the Lions arrived in Baltimore with a lot of certainty and confidence. We can say that they fell hard against the Ravens.

Unable to stop Lamar Jackson (21/27 passing, 357 YDS, 1 TD, 36 YDS on the ground, 1 TD) and dominated in all areas of the game, Dan Campbell’s men never saw the light of day this Sunday. The Ravens put out their most convincing game of the season to consolidate their first place in the AFC North.

Lamar Jackson too easy

A quarter and a half is all it took for Baltimore to outscore the Lions.

The Ravens set the tone quickly thanks to Lamar Jackson on cloud nine. Remarkable in patience and precision, Baltimore’s star quarterback found his receivers one after the other: Zay Flowers, Odell Beckham Jr., Nelson Agholor, Rashod Bateman and the inevitable Mark Andrews, all were served on a platter by Jackson. The latter, generally well protected, also used his legs when he had to escape the pressure, and was also accompanied by an efficient running game (146 YDS in total).

Result ? 4 drives, 4 touchdowns, 28 points scored. Too easy.

Opposite, the Lions attack struggled enormously to find any rhythm. The battle of the lines was quickly won by the Ravens, who sacked Jared Goff (33/53, 284 YDS, 1 INT, 5 sacks suffered) several times even though he was used to playing in a chair since the start of the season. And the running game was almost non-existent without runner David Montgomery (injured).

Result ? 4 drives, 3 punts and 1 ball returned on fourth down, 0 points scored. Too hard.

28-0 at halftime, suffice to say that the rest of the match was almost anecdotal. Things even got worse for the Lions after the break: Mark Andrews scored his second touchdown of the day (Happy Tight End Day!) after an 80-yard reception from Gus Edwards, Jared Goff was intercepted in the third quarter , and poor rookie Mohamed Ibrahim had to go out on a stretcher after being injured in his very first NFL action.

In short, a match definitely to forget for Detroit. 38-6 final score.
