Ravens: End of season for Mark Andrews

This opposition on Thursday evening was fatal. At the same time as the end of the season for Joe Burrow on the Bengals side, the Ravens are losing Mark Andrews for the remainder of the 2023 campaign.

According to Ian Rapoport (NFL Media), the 28-year-old Tight End was diagnosed with a fractured fibula (the other name for the fibula) after an MRI. The ankle ligament would also be affected.

Author of 544 yards and 6 touchdowns, Mark Andrews was an important element of a more diversified Ravens attack this season under the aegis of offensive coordinator Todd Monken. He should be replaced by Isaiah Likely, drafted in the 4th round last season and author of 373 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2022.

Mark Andrews was injured on a tackle by linebacker Logan Wilson, using the very controversial technique of hip drop tackle (Hip drop) where the tackler puts all his weight on his hip to pull the opposing attacker to the ground. Logan Wilson also found himself under fire after the match for injuring not only Mark Andrews, but also Lamar Jackson and Odell Beckham Jr in the same match.
