Rams extend Les Snead and Sean McVay

A few hours before the start of the season, Los Angeles extends the strong men of its staff

The defending champions will keep the men who made them successful. According to ESPN, general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay have both extended their Californian adventure until 2026. Although the amount of the contracts has not been given, it is nevertheless specified that they are now among the best paid in their positions.

Arrived in 2012, Snead has a personal best of 86 wins for 74 losses and a draw. Known for being very aggressive in the exchanges, he knew how to give this franchise a workforce capable of winning a Super Bowl. It also allows French fans of the Rams to go to bed early in the evening of the first draft round, he who seems to favor experience over youth. It must be said that his last first-round choice, which dates back to 2016, did not leave him with an excellent memory.

Appointed by Snead in 2017, Sean McVay, then the youngest head coach of a franchise in history, immediately showed his skills. Accustomed to seasons at 7-9 under Jeff Fisher, the Rams were able to taste the joys of successful seasons again with a coach who totaled 55 wins for 26 losses in 5 seasons. Five years ended with a positive balance sheet, 4 appearances in the playoffs and 2 Super Bowls, including one won.
