Led by 12 points just over 5 minutes from the end, the Rams still had a slim chance of getting the comeback with the ball in their hands. Except that as in this entire meeting (and since the start of the season), Matthew Stafford (28/42, 308 yards, 1TD, 1INT) was put under pressure and threw a nasty interception directly into the arms of the Dallas defender . For Dallas, certainly it’s a new victory without Dak Prescott and for Cooper Rush but it’s above all a new victory which bears the seal of the defense!
Dallas puts the pressure on
The Cowboys can thank their defense by returning to the locker room with a score of 16 to 10. Because with only 8 passes thrown, 5 first down won and 11 minutes of possession, it is not offensively that the visitors have laid the foundations of their hit.
On the other hand, in defense, Dallas immediately put the pressure on by causing Matthew Stafford to lose his first ball in the third action of the match. A fumble that DeMarcus Lawrence recovered and returned to touchdown (0-6, extra point missed).

For its part, the Dallas attack does not really impose its style in attack but manages to play the game it takes, like this 57-yard run by Tonny Pollard (8 runs, 86 yards, 1TD) who breaks several tackles to join the endzone (10-16) and restore the advantage to his team.
At the end of the first half, the defenses confirmed their domination by forcing four punts in a row.
The Rams can’t do it
Upon returning from the locker room, Dallas made its first “constructed” drive of the match: almost 7 minutes of possession and ten games to advance. But the visitors are satisfied with a field goal to lead 19 to 10
On the Los Angeles side, the attack continues to row. It takes almost 5 minutes for the Rams on their first series to gain just 17 yards and punt.
