Raiders: Jimmy Garoppolo forfeits this Sunday

According to multiple sources, the Raiders quarterback will not play this weekend due to a back injury.

New week without Jimmy Garoppolo for the Raiders. After having already had to do without the services of their quarterback in week 4 due to a concussion, the Las Vegas players will once again have to do without the former 49er this Sunday against the Bears, according to information from Adam Schefter of ESPN, confirmed by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Garoppolo injured his back during the game against the Patriots this weekend and was hospitalized. His coach Josh McDaniels initially explained that his condition was much better than expected, but it will obviously be too short to play this week.

His replacement Aidan O’Connell, in difficulty during the defeat against the Chargers, should therefore probably take over. To see if he can perform better, while the Raiders, 2nd in the AFC West with a record, must maintain the pace if they want to dream of the playoffs.
