Hard blow for the tight end of Las Vegas.
Off the field since October 2, Darren Waller is not ready to find them. According to Adam Schefter for ESPN, the Raiders tight end has been placed on the injured reserve. He specifies that it is a worsening of the injury which would have led to this decision.
Hit in the thigh, the former Ravens has only played 4 games this season, for a meager total of 175 yards and 1 touchdown in 16 receptions. After 2019 and 2020 seasons full of promise, Waller is about to experience another difficult year, he who had already missed 6 games in 2021.
Schefter adds, however, that the Raiders still hope to recover their tight end before the end of the season, but it will not be before, at best, December 9 in Los Angeles against the Rams. Stuck in last place in the AFC West, Las Vegas and Derek Carr would need Waller to restart the machine and still believe in the playoffs. In the meantime, we will have to trust Foster Moreau and Jesper Horsted.
