Raheem Morris named Falcons coach

Announced as the favorite for the position, Bill Belichick will ultimately have to look elsewhere. According to ESPN, it is Raheem Morris who gets the position of head coach of the Falcons.

Currently defensive coordinator of the Rams, Morris has already been to Atlanta and has even been its head coach… on an interim basis. In 2020, after Dan Quinn was fired the day after Week 5, he took charge of the team for the last 11 games with a record of 4-7.

After 2 years spent away from Georgia leading the Los Angeles defense, it is therefore a return through the front door for the 41-year-old technician. He takes over from Arthur Smith who landed at the end of the season after another failure to secure a place in the playoffs. He recovers a team which has greatly strengthened over the last two years under the leadership of general manager Terry Fontenot. Morris will, however, have to address a major problem with the question of the quarterback.
