[Preview] Week 15: Ravens lead

After the Raiders' spectacular victory on Thursday Night Football, it's now time for the rest of the NFL. While attention has been focused on the top of the NFC for several weeks, it is now the AFC that interests us. This Sunday, the first in the conference, Baltimore, travels to Florida to face the Jaguars. A meeting that could well resemble a playoff poster. In any case, this is THE match not to be missed this week.

We will also talk about a receiver-cornerback duel, Matt Eberflusof DK Metcalfof Tommy DeVito and Saturday matches. Here is the program for week 15.

The game :

Kick-off during the night from Sunday to Monday 2:20 a.m.
Jacksonville Jaguars (8-5) – Baltimore Ravens (10-3)

The duel: Steffon Diggs vs. Stephon Gilmore

Kick-off Sunday at 10:25 p.m.
Buffalo Bills (7-6) – Dallas Cowboys (10-3)

AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, Terry McLaurin…here are some of the receivers defended by Stephon Gilmore in recent weeks. Arrived via A trade of the Panthers a few months ago, the former defender of the year became the cornerback number 1 of this team, after the serious injury of Trevon Diggs. He must now follow the opposing superstar. It is clear that for several matches, this is a mission that has been successful for him rather well. In its wake and that of a big defense, Dallas took over the head of the NFC Eastbut the Cowboys must now maintain the pace.

Starting with this weekend at Buffalo. Here again, Gilmore will have a customer: Steffon Diggs. The receiver is about to exceed the 1000 yards this season (993 yards and 8 TDs) and has already announced the color at a press conference. He states that we should not bury the Bills at the end of the season. He therefore approaches this match with great motivation. And even if he is disappointed not to face his little brother, his duel against Gilmore will be worth the detour this Sunday.

The stats: 337

Kick-off on the night of Monday to Tuesday at 2:15 a.m.
Seattle Seahawks (6-7) – Philadelphia Eagles (10-3)

This is the total yards gained by DK Metcalf during his last matches against Eagles. The receiver loves this team. In 2019he had recorded 7 receptions, 160 yards and 1 TD in the playoffs. The following year, during the last clash between these two teams, the receiver did it again with an even more impressive match (10 receptions for 177 yards). In Philadelphia we will therefore have to keep an eye on the phenomenon.

The Eagles are currently at the bottom of the wave with 2 consecutive defeats. Air defense is one of the current question marks in Pennsylvania. Nick Sirianni's men have the opportunity here to prove that they are capable of becoming a solid squad again, like the performances which took them until the Super Bowl last year. DK Metcalf will want to forget his ejection from last week by performing well on the field. Note also that this match will be the first in history to be postponed to Monday during the season.

The player: Tommy DeVito

Kick-off Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
New Orleans Saints (6-7) – New York Giants (5-8)

It's here “hype” from the moment to new York. Tommy DeVito is making a name for himself in the NFL. The undrafted quarterback has just led his team to three consecutive successes. Who would have believed it when Daniel Jones got injured? However, the launcher impresses. And even if everything is still far from perfect, New York doesn't need much more to ignite. This Sunday, the G-men are traveling to Louisiana to continue this great series. Tommy DeVito will definitely be expected there.

The playoffs are still achievable for New York, but we will have to be flawless. And when we know that they must face Philadelphia has 2 times At the end of the season, it seems almost mission impossible. Which will not prevent them from making the task complicated to New Orleans. THE Saints they are on par with the Buccaneers (and the Falcons) for first place in NFC South and must not leave a match on the way.

Coach: Matt Eberflus

Kick-off Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
Cleveland Browns (8-5) – Chicago Bears (5-8)

Since the start of the season Chicago, most eyes are on Justin Fields. While the Bears could once again end up with the first pick in the next draft, the quarterback plays his place. Except that Matt Eberflus also plays his position. The leaders of Chicago could indeed decide to start on a new regime, with a new pitcher and a new coach. The next results will therefore be decisive for the rest of his career in Illinois.

These last few days have actually been in his favor. There is 3 weekshe won his first division match against the Vikings. In the process, a success against the Lions offered him his first series of 2 consecutive victories since he was Chicago. Good signs that speak in its favor. It now remains to finish well on the last 4 matches. Sunday, its Bears move to Cleveland to face a strong team. The opportunity to confirm the progress seen.

Saturday night fever

Kick-off Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
Cincinnati Bengals (7-6) – Minnesota Vikings (7-6)

Kick-off Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
Indianapolis Colts (7-6) – Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6)

Kick-off on the night of Saturday to Sunday 2:15 a.m.
Detroit Lions (9-4) – Denver Broncos (7-6)

With the college football regular season over, the NFL can now return to Saturday nights. To celebrate, the big league is offering us not one, but three offbeat meetings. To start, Cincinnati hosts Minnesota. Two teams with similar records aiming for qualification in Wild Cards in their respective conferences. For the Bengals, Jake Browning's interim works well with 34 points scored in the last two matches. For the Vikings, however, it is more complicated with only 13 points scored in two meetings. Advantage therefore to Zac Taylor's men on Saturday.

Later in the evening, the race for the playoffs will still be on the table. Again, Colts and Steelers face each other with the same record. With 4 matches remaining, these oppositions between direct adversaries become crucial. Bad news for Indianapolis, however, which will once again have to do without Jonathan Taylor. Finally, Saturday Night Football offers us an opposition between the Lions and the Broncos. Two teams with opposing dynamics. Detroit indeed remains on 2 losses in 3 matcheswhile Denver is only one victory away from leading the AFC West with 6 successes in the last 7 matches.

The (other) division duels

Kick-off Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
Carolina Panthers (1-12) – Atlanta Falcons (6-7)

Kick-off Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
Miami Dolphins (9-4) – New York Jets (5-8)

Kick-off Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
Tennessee Titans (5-8) – Houston Texans (7-6)

Kick-off Sunday at 10:05 p.m.
Arizona Cardinals (3-10) – San Francisco 49ers (10-3)

Perfect tie this week in terms of division duels with 2 for the AFC and 2 for NFC. In the American conference, we first go to the East with a match between Miami and New York. During their first meeting, the Dolphins won 34-13. A result that they hope will be similar at home this time to move forward after their defeat on Monday Night Football. Their executioners last Monday receive the Texans. Tennessee must continue to advance Will Levis who once again faces a team that has the hope of qualifying for the playoffs.

In NFC, this week 15 will offer us the traditional confrontation of the South. This time, the Panthers host the Falcons who have lost the lead in the division. With three teams with the same record of 6-7, these matches become even more important. In the second half of the evening, San Francisco, the most in-form team in the league currently, should make short work of the Cardinals. When week 4the 49ers also won 35-16.

The rest

Kick-off Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
Green Bay Packers (6-7) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7)

Kick-off Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
New England Patriots (3-10) – Kansas City Chiefs (8-5)

Kick-off Sunday at 10:05 p.m.
Los Angeles Rams (6-7) – Washington Commanders (4-9)

In the rest of the week's matches, Tampa Bay wants to maintain a hard-won place last week. Traveling to Green Bay, the Buccaneers are now leading the NFC South and must resist the return of the Saints and Falcons. A difficult task when we know that the Packers are on a good run, despite the setback Monday evening. At the same time, New England had almost 10 days to prepare for the arrival of the reigning champion.

While rumors of Bill Belichick's departure are becoming more and more present, the Patriots still have a season to finish. Against the Chiefs, the game seems totally unbalanced. Kansas City must absolutely take advantage of this match to regain confidence. Finally, in California, the Rams welcome the Commanders. If for Washington the season is already over, Los Angeles still cherishes the hope of fighting for the last place in Wild Cards at the end of the season. To do this, we will have to do it flawlessly, starting this Sunday.
