Preseason S3 (Friday): Trevor Lawrence impeccable

Atlanta Falcons – Jacksonville Jaguars: 0-31 – Trevor Lawrence impeccable

Two series. Two touchdowns. Perfect record for Trevor Lawrence and Evan Engram, who found each other perfectly for a quick double. The quarterback was well protected. He was precise. Travis Etienne ran well as a bonus. Now all that's left is to reproduce that in season… and against starters.

Because Atlanta had not fielded any of its major players. The opportunity for the returning Kevin King, absent for two years and placed safety, to make 3 tackles and show that he claims a place in the squad.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Miami Dolphins: 24-14 – Baker Mayfield gains confidence

It took just one possession for Tampa's starters to get a touchdown. Rashaad White (4 carries, 16 yards, 1 TD) had balls and Baker Mayfield (3/3, 54 yards) led the attack efficiently. A touchdown on the ground at the end. Todd Bowles didn't need to see more and brought everyone back to the bench.

The Dolphins let Skylar Thompson (19/27, 190 yards, 2 TDs, 1 int) and Mike White (5/9, 37 yards) battle for the No. 2 quarterback job by preserving the starters.

Las Vegas Raiders – San Francisco 49ers: 24-24 – Brock Purdy and the attack in adjustment

Brock Purdy (9/12, 96 yards, 1 int) and the 49ers starters played three series. George Kittle (3 rec, 34 yards) and Deebo Samuel (2 rec, 32 yards) were able to show themselves, but the results were random: field goal, touchdown and an interception a few yards from the end zone. With Christian McCaffrey resting because of a sore calf, San Francisco showed the depth of its bench on the ground (38 carries, 131 yards, 2 TDs). Nothing amazing but nothing to worry about.

The Raiders' starters were rested. The opportunity to see Nathan Peterman (12/19, 108 yards, 1 TD) start a game again.
