Power ranking S10: The Eagles are back

We had buried them a little after a complicated start to the season but here the Eagles are again. On a five-game winning streak, Philadelphia now leads the NFC East with Washington and once again looks like a serious Super Bowl contender. In the rest of the NFC, the Lions keep the lead, the Vikings do not give up and the Saints put an end to their ordeal.

In the AFC, the Chiefs miraculously maintain their invincibility, the Bills, Ravens and Steelers hang on while the Jets have perhaps said goodbye to their playoff hopes.

As a reminder, this hierarchy is not only based on the number of successes, but also on current form. If two teams are close and haven't played each other recently, one wonders which one would win if the match were played today. Beating the strongest is not going to propel you to the top in the blink of an eye. Losing to one of the dunces won't plunge you into the abyss either. One can win and tumble, bow and climb. This is the merciless law of Power Ranking…

1. Kansas City Chiefs (9-0)

Like every week, Kansas City narrowly wins. But this time, it took a special teams miracle.

Week 11: trip to the Bills

2. Detroit Lions (8-1)

For the Lions and Dan Campbell, it's simple, just ask. Detroit becomes the first team since 1970 to win a game while trailing by 15 points while giving up 5 interceptions. With the Eagles coming back strong, the Lions have no room for error if they want to maintain first place in the NFC.

Week 11: Jaguars reception

3. Buffalo Bills (8-2)

The last time Buffalo won in Indianapolis was October 11, 1998.

Week 11: reception of the Chiefs

4. Baltimore Ravens (7-3)

Lamar Jackson 2024 has already thrown as many touchdowns as Jackson MVP 2023. The supreme individual reward should not escape the Ravens quarterback.

Week 11: Steelers trip

5. Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) +2

Fifth consecutive victory for the Eagles. Philadelphia is in great shape and that comes well before hosting the Commanders on Thursday night.

Week 11: receiving Commanders

6. Minnesota Vikings (7-2)

For his first NFL game, replacing an injured Will Reichard, John Parker Romo was in high demand. The kicker succeeded in his 4 field goal attempts and saved the Vikings handicapped by the catastrophic performance of Sam Darnold in the red zone.

Week 11: Titans travel

7. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) +2

Mike Williams couldn't have asked for a better start with his new franchise.

Week 11: Ravens reception

8. Washington Commanders (7-3) -3

Rookie Jer'zhan Newton was fooled. With this defeat, the Commanders see the Eagles pass them in front.

Week 11: trip to the Eagles

9. Green Bay Packers (6-3) -1

The Packers are off this week. Enough to allow Jordan Love to recover from his numerous injuries.

Week 11: trip to the Bears

10. San Francisco 49ers (5-4) +2

Christian McCaffrey has finally made his return. Injured since the start of the season, the running back struggled to perform on the ground. It was better at the reception, but you will have to be patient with him.

Week 11: Seahawks reception

11. Los Angeles Chargers (6-3) +2

Seventh consecutive game for Justin Herbert without an interception and the Chargers have a string of victories ahead of a schedule that will get tougher.

Week 11: Bengals reception

12. Arizona Cardinals (6-4) +2

Fourth consecutive victory for the Cardinals who appear more and more as the favorites in their division.

Week 11: bye week

13. Atlanta Falcons (6-4) -3

In a match lost by 3 points, the three field goals missed by Younghoe Koo were costly.

Week 11: trip to the Broncos

14. Houston Texans (6-4) -3

Another complicated match for CJ Stroud who stalled in the second half. Strongly for him that Nico Collins is operational again.

Week 11: trip to the Cowboys

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-6)

Fourth consecutive defeat for Tampa Bay which pays dearly for the absences of Mike Evans and Chris Goodwin, combined with a very tough schedule. Baker Mayfield and his team will have the opportunity to get back on track in the coming weeks, successively facing the Giants, Panthers and Raiders.

Week 11: bye week

16. Los Angeles Rams (4-5)

Small setback for the Rams after three consecutive victories. They will have to get back on track quickly if they want to keep up with the pace set by the Cardinals in their division.

Week 11: trip to the Patriots

17. Seattle Seahawks (4-5)

Seattle has lost 5 of its last 6 games. The Seahawks must take advantage of this week off to get their heads back on track.

Week 11: trip to the 49ers

18. Denver Broncos (5-5)

Denver joins the long list of teams who, this season, could/should have beaten Kansas City and who emerged very frustrated from this meeting.

Week 11: reception of the Falcons

19. Cincinnati Bengals (4-6)

They should have won both games against the Ravens. The difference between a team that is going to make the playoffs and one that will probably be on vacation at the beginning of January.

Week 11: trip to the Chargers

20. Miami Dolphins (3-6) +5

Victory, three defeats, victory, three defeats, victory. The Dolphins continue their logical sequence. If they keep the same pace, the Raiders, Patriots and Packers will be happy, the Jets much less.

Week 11: Raiders reception

21. Indianapolis Colts (4-6)

Impressive as Richardson's replacement, Joe Flacco seems to be struggling much more since being named the starter.

Week 11: trip to the Jets

22. Chicago Bears (4-5) -2

The offensive line once again took on water and Caleb Williams conceded 9 sacks. The week off visibly broke Chicago's momentum.

Week 11: Packers reception

23. New York Jets (3-7) -1

The hope aroused by the victory against the Texans was only short-lived. If it's not all his fault, the Aaron Rodgers experiment is a failure for the Jets.

Week 11: receiving the Colts

24. Dallas Cowboys (3-6) -1

In Dallas, the stadium is more dazzling than the team. The Cowboys once again suffered a heavy defeat at home, this time against the Eagles.

Week 11: Cowboys reception

25. New Orleans Saints (3-7) +4

The change of coach has obviously given a second wind to the Saints. Darren Rizzi allows New Orleans to end a series of 7 consecutive defeats.

Week 11: Browns reception

26. Cleveland Browns (2-7) -2

Week off for Jameis Winston and the Browns.

Week 11: reception of New Orleans

27. Carolina Panthers (3-7) +1

Bryce Young wins a second game in a week, as many as in the rest of his NFL career.

Week 10: bye week

28. New England Patriots (3-7) +4

Only 142 yards and 3 points conceded. New England's defense gives the Patriots a third victory this season.

Week 10: Chargers reception

29. Tennessee Titans (2-7) -2

Returning from injury, Will Levis showed a much more attractive face than on his last outings. However, not enough to win against the Chargers.

Week 10: reception of the Vikings

30. Las Vegas Raiders (2-7)

A week of rest which offers a little respite to the Raiders, currently on a series of 5 consecutive defeats.

Week 11: trip to the Dolphins

31. New York Giants (2-8) -5

Tyrone Tracy Jr went from hero to zero. After restarting New York in the third quarter, his fumble in overtime doomed the Giants.

Week 11: bye week

32. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) -1

The Jaguars had only caused 5 turnovers since the start of the season. Sunday, they intercepted Sam Darnold 3 times. Insufficient to compensate for an attack completely stopped under the orders of Mac Jones.

Week 10: trip to the Dolphins
