1. Miami Dolphins
Tua's left arm is going to have a lot of work for years to come with Hill and Waddle as targets. You add to that arm a dose of ground play with youth and experience. All that gives you an offense where you may not have time to figure out if they scored points or not. It's going to run fast!
2. Detroit Lions
The most exciting team to watch last year without a shadow of a doubt. Quality in terms of targets, on the ground and on the offensive line. But the main victory of this offense: having been able to keep Ben Johnson as offensive coordinator. Super Bowl dreams are therefore allowed for the Lions, to finally be kings in the NFL as among the animals.
3. San Francisco 49ers
Name me one weak point in this offense. The bad tongues will tell you Brock Purdy, the others will tell you nothing. Brandon Aiyuk is still there, Trent Williams too. The problem for this offense remains the health of their key players. If all goes well throughout the season, this offense can go even higher, even stronger, and even further in the Bay.
4. Houston Texans
Adding Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs is called serving yourself luxury. front office Texans spoiled CJ Stroud. If the offensive line steps up, the offense will become nearly unplayable for any opposing defense. Now it's up to the quarterback to play with his new toys for as long as possible.
5. Los Angeles Rams
Offense is Sean McVay's domain. No wonder they're in this top 5. If his quarterback comes off the injury list, then the cast around him will shine. The Kyren Williams-Blake Corum duo is very intriguing on the ground, while the Cooper Kupp-Puka Nacua tandem could become the best receiver duo in the league. A future magic quadrant?
6. Kansas City Chiefs
If only Patrick Mahomes had some diversity in targets… The Chiefs may have the best quarterback around and a great offensive mind. But the quality of targets and ground play are still light years away from the level of their quarterback and their main target (Travis Kelce). A duo that could be making their farewell tour during this 2024 NFL season.
7. Philadelphia Eagles
Replace a good runner with a superstar runner. Extend your favorite targets and two of the best tackles in the league. The Eagles should have been higher in this ranking. So why aren't they? Because Jalen Hurts needs to bounce back from a mediocre season last year (15 interceptions) or he'll be even higher hurt in his pride.
8. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens were one of the best running attacks last year. They figured a little reinforcement wouldn't hurt with Derrick Henry, no less. We hope Flowers blossoms, as much as Bateman takes flight, or we'll still be Andrews-dependent in the air.
9. Cincinnati Bengals
The aerial attack galore? With the return of Joe Burrow, it's a certainty. Alongside him, we have an offensive line that is just waiting to protect him. If it doesn't happen that way, unfortunately it won't be the ground game that will save them. However, Zack Moss may hold the key to unlocking them.
10. Green Bay Packers
The attack under the sign of love in the air? The receivers committee is young, full of speed and desire. But above all, the contribution of the new Packer Josh Jacobs will give a new threat more important on the ground, and make the Lambeau Leap repeatedly. Let's hope.
11. Dallas Cowboys
A receiver who just signed a big contract. A quarterback who is waiting for him. But around them, the offensive line is not as excellent as in previous years. The big question mark will be the level of the running game, and the return of Ezekiel Eliott. In any case, the Cowboys will have to be ruthless to go to the top.
12. Buffalo Bills
Yes, they lost Stefon Diggs. Yes, their targets are young. But who better to throw the ball to those youngsters (besides Curtis Samuel and Marquez Valdes-Scantling) than Josh Allen? The running game is loaded with talent. But with the uncertainty of the offensive line, Buffalo won't be able to go head down.
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Mike Evans and Chris Godwin will be well assisted by Trey Palmer and Cade Otton in particular. Baker Mayfield should once again have a blast. The problem? The ground game has not changed its cast, and it is not the new offensive coordinator in place who should make them progress. The Pirates could therefore fly a lot instead of mooring on land.
14. Chicago Bears
A rookie to surround a trio of receivers with another rookie. This offense should reach the top 10 in a few years. Full of promise, it could surprise us this season. The uncertainties? The level of the offensive line, and the new offensive coordinator. But, we feel that the wind is turning.
15. New York Jets
On paper, this offense is a top-15 offense. Now, on the field, we're still waiting for it to blossom. Will Aaron Rodgers and Mike Williams stay on the field for the entire season? Putting experience on the offensive line is a do-or-die situation. Either the infirmary is full, or the scoring column is. A rare occurrence in New York for many years.
16. Atlanta Falcons
New quarterback for a new offensive animation? We hope so on the Falcons' side. The change makes them fall to the bottom of the first half of the table. Let's hope they don't find themselves in the depths of the standings during the 2024 season, otherwise Kirk Cousins won't like it.
17. Cleveland Browns
We have some great players on the offensive line, among the receivers, and even among the runners with the return of Nick Chubb, even if he will be absent at the start of the season. All we need now is a quarterback, and then we are good. The problem is precisely there. We are still waiting for the Texans' Deshaun Watson. We hope it will be for 2024 in Ohio. Otherwise, we will have to cancel the guarantee.
18. Seattle Seahawks
A complementary trio of receivers, and a promising runner. The Seahawks are hopeful. But is Geno Smith the solution to take this offense higher? Under his command, the young offensive line will have to make progress, at the risk of reliving Russell Wilson's worst years. A flashback not particularly welcome, otherwise Pete Caroll might be recalled.
19. New Orleans Saints
Derek Carr, Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave. Yes, there are proven players at key positions. However, on the offensive line, it's such a work in progress. Salvation could come from changing offensive coordinators, provided they do better than the mess seen last season.
20. Jacksonville Jaguars
No more promises, now it's time to move up a gear. Could Lieutenant Trevor Lawrence sound the revolt and win the many battles with his squad? If defeats occur, then people could be sent packing, starting with Doug Pederson.
21. Minnesota Vikings
We may have one of the best trios of receivers (Jefferson, Addison, Hockenson) and an experienced runner (Jones). But, if the ball distributor is a man who has never proven himself at the highest level, it will be complicated. Viking king Kevin O'Connell therefore has a mission: to continue Sam Darnold's career in the NFL.
22. Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray is well back on his feet. Now, it's up to him to exploit the great target he was given in the Draft. James Conner is getting better as he gets older, and could still surprise us. But, the level of this offensive line is very uncertain. And ultimately, this attack could never take off from the Arizona desert.
23. Los Angeles Chargers
Justin Herbert … and that’s it. That could be enough if the quarterback can get back to his level. But, going from an Ekeler-Williams-Allen trio to an Edwards-Johnston-McConkey trio immediately gives less enthusiasm. Especially since the new offensive coordinator is more of a specialist in the game … on the ground. So it could be more soporific than electric…
24. Indianapolis Colts
Having a great offensive line is good. Having Jonathan Taylor back from the 2022 season would be wonderful. For now, we are still in the promise stage when it comes to the passing domain around Richardson. Michael Pittman may still be too alone to carry this attack, otherwise it could go in circles.
25. Las Vegas Raiders
There will be fun with Gardner Minshew, but not sure that fun is an argument for scoring points. A magnificent receiver, Davante Adams could be frustrated (again). The offensive line and the ground game could surprise, but we are more on bets than on certainties. For sure, we are in Las Vegas.
26. Pittsburgh Steelers
New Quarterback for a New Offensive Animation, Part 2? Can Arthur Smith Turn Najee Harris into Derrick Henry? Overall, George Pickens seems too alone in terms of offensive threat. With such young assistants on the line, Russell Wilson may be running for his life like Superman rather than throwing the ball.
27. Tennessee Titans
Experience at receiver and running back, but not at quarterback or on the offensive line. Brian Callahan has his work cut out for him to get Will Levis off the ground, and keep DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley and Tony Pollard going. In any case, they need to have that Tennessee something offensively, or they'll disappoint their fans.
28. Washington Commanders
Jayden Daniels, a reason for hope to wake up the capital's attack. Around him, we have Terry McLaurin, and that's it. The offensive line seems at the same level as last season, which could be worrying for Kliff Kingsbury if he wants to turn this attack around. To command the division, we will therefore have to wait a few more years.
29. Denver Broncos
Fortunately, there is Sean Payton, and the offensive line to be kind. Then, there is potential, with a Bo Nix who is just waiting to be unleashed. In the weapons department, Courtland Sutton seems far too alone in Colorado. To join him, the rest will have to climb several unclassified passes before becoming the new darlings of the NFL.
30. Carolina Panthers
Bryce Young is going to have to start his NFL career. He was given targets and an offensive line in the offseason, but is it enough to shine? Who will carry the balls on the ground to move the team forward? So many questions, for few certain answers. The only reason for hope: that Dave Canales can produce what he managed to do with Baker Mayfield. Hope springs eternal, as they say…
31. New York Giants
Youth that is just asking to be fed with balls, but Daniel Jones is still the starter at quarterback. With Saquon Barkley, it wasn't great enough, without him, it could be nothing. And the offensive line remains one of the worst in the league. I might as well write it right away, we could get bored with the Giants on offense.
32. New England Patriots
An offensive line far from the best level of the Belichick years, targets low cost and a runner who is far from being an undisputed number 1. Mix in the quarterback, one of whom is an experienced player, having never led a team to the playoffs, and the other, a rookie who should take over. In short, when the Patriots get the ball, it could be eye-watering.
