Postponement of payroll: between the Giants and the Jaguars, the big gap

Jacksonville will have the means for its reconstruction. New York much less…

The NFL payroll limit is expected to be increased to approximately $208 million for the year 2022. This budget represents an increase of $25 million from last year. However, franchises also have the option to carry over their unused salaries from the previous campaign to the future fiscal year.

The clubs have declared the remaining sums, and the amounts carried over will be adjusted according to the bonuses and performance bonuses due to the players for the season.

ESPN reports that the Jaguars will be able to transfer almost 25.7 million in payroll over the coming year. The Eagles follow with 16.4 million, along with the Broncos, Browns, and Seahawks who will add 10 million.

At the other end of the standings, the Saints, Rams and Patriots don’t have much wiggle room as it stands. But the club in big trouble is New York. With barely a few thousand dollars, the Giants will have a hard time attracting new leaders to take over the organization.

As a reminder, these sums will be added to the payroll dedicated to all the teams.
