In just three seasons, Sean Taylor has carved a place for himself in the hearts of Washington fans. Obviously not in that of the leaders.
Sunday marked the fifteenth anniversary of Taylor’s tragic death, shot and killed in a burglary. The franchise had announced that it would honor the player’s memory with a memorial unveiled at FedEx Field.
When the curtain fell, the atmosphere quickly fell among the supporters present. No statue, but a steel mannequin, on which a Redskins outfit was placed.
Visually, difficult to do poorer. But when you look at the details, it’s even worse. The Jersey ? A recent Nike outfit that Taylor has never worn. Trousers ? Reebok, vintage. The shoes ? A pair of iconic Adidas Copa Mundials… of football. We found this model in particular at the feet of some of the world champions of the France 98 team.
It was possible to do much better. It was also possible to avoid highlighting the Redskins logo. But when it comes to despising both his players and the public, Dan Snyder and his team show a rare consistency.
Another angle. Reebok pants. Nike top. Adidas soccer cleats. pic.twitter.com/v6n7zSb7TU
