Pete Carroll is back! And it is the Raiders who have set their sights on the former Seahawks coach.
The coach therefore signs up with the Las Vegas franchise. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the contract covers three seasons with an optional 4th year. The objective is clear on the Vegas side, to finally bring seriousness and change the “culture” of the franchise.
Pete Carroll, the champion
After a season of hiatus, Pete Carroll is back in business despite his 73 years. Carroll was coming off a love affair with the Seahawks that lasted 14 seasons. 14 seasons crowned with two Super Bowls played, including 1 won in the 2013 season.
With Seattle, Pete Carroll won 137 games for 89 losses. He also led the team to 11 out of 14 seasons with a positive record, and not a single season below 7 wins.
An expected arrival
Very good results which can only inspire a franchise that has been looking for stability and victories for far too long. It remains to be seen who will surround the coach in his staff, whether for attack or defense.
After taking the Seahawks to first place in the league, he will aim for the same for the Raiders. In addition to the results, Carroll is also expected on defense. He who knew how to put in place the famous “Legion of Boom”, will undoubtedly want to rely on Maxx Crosby to create a new defensive identity among the Raiders.
In any case, we can only look forward to seeing the lively Pete Carroll in the colors of the Raiders and the glitter of Las Vegas.
