Adam Thielen has already found a base. Cut off by the Vikings, the receiver has just signed up for three seasons with the Panthers. The franchise announced the transaction.
ESPN reports that it is a 3-year contract. KSTP specifies that Thielen should receive 25 million dollars in total, of which 14 million guaranteed.
Thielen caught 70 passes for 716 yards and 6 touchdowns last season with the Vikings. His experience will be appreciated in a locker room undergoing reconstruction. As a reminder, Carolina has the first choice of the 2023 Draft and could therefore very soon have a new young quarterback.
The Panthers just lost DJ Moore in the trade that allowed them to recover the first draft pick, which originally belonged to Chicago. Carolina executives are also reportedly meeting with DJ Chark, who also remains a signing possibility. Laviska Shenault and Terrace Marshall are the top remaining targets from last year’s roster. Tight end Hayden Hurst was also signed.
