The former Colts coach will try to relaunch on the Carolina side.
The Carolina Panthers are the first team to choose their new head coach for the 2023 season. And he’s a well-known person in the organization because he was the first quarterback in franchise history in 1995.
Indeed, according to Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, it was the former Indianapolis Colts coach Frank Reich who was chosen. He was preferred to Steve Wilks in particular, the interim coach last season, to take charge of the Charlotte franchise.
A desire for owner Dave Tepper to focus on a coach with an offensive profile to boost a struggling attack in 2022.
During his time with the Colts, Frank Reich led Indianapolis to 2 playoffs (2018, 2020) with an elimination in the conference semi-finals in 2018. He had a record of 40 wins for 33 losses in the regular season for his first experience in as head coach.
