Panthers: Baker Mayfield recovers the starting position… by default

The Panthers don’t have much time to prepare for their next game, scheduled for Thursday against the Packers. So no time to lose on the injury side.

Steve Wilks announced on Monday that PJ Walker is suffering from a sprained ankle and will not be able to play against Green Bay. As a result, Baker Mayfield is back as the starting quarterback.

The former Draft No. 1, now 27, had managed to make some stats at the end of the Week 9 game against the Bengals. While his team was already beaten, he entered to make a record of 14/20 for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns.
