Packers: season over for Rashan Gary

The Packers have lost their last five games, their offense is slipping, and now their defense has just lost its most productive pass rusher.

NFL Media announces that Rashan Gary is suffering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. An injury which is therefore synonymous with the end of the season. An MRI is still planned to observe if further damage has taken place.

Author of 6 sacks this year, Gary was by far the most effective pass rusher in the squad. In his fourth year, he was on the bases for his best season. Behind him, we find Preston Smith with 3.5 sacks. Green Bay has only had 17 total sacks this season.

The Packers can at least console themselves with the good news on the side of Aaron Jones, injured in the ankle, who is not seriously affected and should be able to train in the coming days. Still, Matt LaFleur would have to want to use it…
