Odell Beckham and the Dolphins are (already) over

The adventure was short and above all will not go down in the annals of the NFL. Receiver Odell Beckham Jr and the Miami Dolphins have decided to end the block between them according to NFL Media. He joined Miami last May for one season.

Never much involved in the game plan, Beckham was never more than a backup in the Floridian aerial attack. He played a total of 9 games for as many receptions (!) and 55 small yards, and without scoring a single touchdown.

Odell Beckham free… but really useful?

The Dolphins' sporting situation surely precipitated this termination of contract. Badly off to a good start with 4 matches remaining, the chances of reaching the playoffs are quite slim for the franchise.

At 32 years old and free if no team picks him up on the waiver, the recipient will then be able to join a team aiming for the supreme title in February. If he is no longer the player he once was, he could still be a good complementary and experienced player in view of the elimination matches.
