NFL Update July 8: Vikings Rookie Dies

Khyree Jackson found dead

Drafted in the 4th round of the 2024 Draft by the Vikings, Khyree Jackson (CB) dies at the age of 24. The player died in a car accident on the night of Friday to Saturday according to The OregonianThe news was confirmed Saturday by his agent and his high school coach.

The player was a front-seat passenger in a car carrying three people that was hit by another car driving at full speed. In addition to Jackson, the driver of the car also died, as did the front-seat passenger, despite being taken to hospital.

“I still have a lot of football to give. I never stopped loving this sport. I had to take time for myself off the field. I did it. I worked hard, and I know I still have energy to give. I know I can be of service to a team.”

In the rest of that interview, he said he spoke with the Panthers and Jim Caldwell, Dave Canales' assistant. During the spring, the receiver worked out with the Commanders.

In short

– The Panthers announced the departure of vice president of player personnel Adrian Wilson. The former safety had signed with the Panthers in 2023 at that position.
