CeeDee Lamb sets the tone
A new contract and I'm back training : That saying applies to Brandon Aiyuk. But so does fellow receiver CeeDee Lamb. The Cowboys player is not expected to participate in training camp, according to The Athletic.
Unsurprisingly, he is expecting a lucrative contract from his franchise to return to his team's facilities. The 25-year-old will have to pay around $50,000 in fines for each training camp he misses.
Last season, CeeDee Lamb led the NFL in receptions. He also broke the franchise record for receiving yards.
Malik Hooker Takes On Micah Parsons
CeeDee Lamb isn't the only Cowboys player making headlines this weekend. In a podcast, safety Malik Hooker questions Micah Parsons' investment. Hooker wanted to know if the pass rusher is more invested in his own podcast or his team's success.
Unsurprisingly, Micah Parsons responded in a since-deleted tweet that he records his podcasts on days he doesn't work out.
Commanders or Steelers for Brandon Aiyuk?
Guest on a podcast last Friday, Brandon Aiyuk (WR, 49ers) admits that the Commanders and the Steelers could be an option. The Commanders have just drafted quarterback Jayden Daniels, whom the receiver knows well. Both men spent a season at Arizona State University.
The Steelers are also a possibility because they are missing a roster spot alongside George Pickens, with Diontae Johnson having been traded in the offseason.
As of now, the 49ers are not budging on their stance despite positive discussions last week according to NFL Media.
