Amari Cooper Wants His Money
The offseason is always a good time for salary discussions and Amari Cooper (WR, Browns) has understood this well. The receiver has not yet participated in offseason workouts, including mandatory ones. Deshaun Watson's main target intends to make his objectives clear to Cleveland's management. A situation that may recall that of Brandon Aiyuk, mentioned a few days ago, also looking for a big contract.
“I want to get paid,” he said in an interview for sports betting site Betr.
On the Browns side, General Manager Andrew Berry explained that Amari Cooper “counts a lot” for the team. Although the discussions are currently at the same stage, there is no animosity between the two parties.
Dak Prescott off the hook
While waiting for news related to his contract extension, Dak Prescott (QB, Cowboys) saw the charges accusing him of sexual assault completely dropped. The case dates back to 2017 when the quarterback was accused of assaulting a woman in the back of a car. In response, Prescott had sued the victim and her lawyers for attempted fraud.
The Cowboys quarterback's lawyer welcomed the court's decision in the face of the victim's blackmail.
No additional Draft this year
For the fourth time in five years, the NFL has announced to franchises that there will be no supplemental draft. As a reminder, this allows players who were not eligible at the time of the draft in April to be recruited.
In 2023, the players who presented themselves there were not selected. The last player selected in a supplemental draft was Jalen Thompson (S, Cardinals), chosen in the fifth round in 2019.
“He will be ready. He trained at 100% of his capacity until the end of the organized team activities. He did two intensive throwing sessions so we reduced the load on the last day. [ndlr : des OTA] ” Colts general manager Chris Ballard told NFL.com.
As a reminder, Richardson's rookie season ended prematurely following an injury to his throwing shoulder which required surgery.
Injuries
– Hit in the shoulder at the beginning of June, Anthony Richardson (QB, Colts) should be fit for the start of training camp. This was announced yesterday by general manager Chris Ballard.

Jeffery Simmons can't wait to fight Caleb Williams
For his baptism of fire, Caleb Williams (QB, Bears), first choice in the 2024 draft, will face the Tennessee Titans on September 8. Jeffery Simmons (DT, Titans) intends to make sure the quarterback remembers it, but for other reasons.
“I understand everyone’s eyes are on the Bears, and that’s normal when you have a rookie like Caleb Williams who’s a great player. I saw some of his games at USC, he was a phenomenal player. But this is the NFL, it’s not the same. I can’t wait to play him in the first game,” the Titans defensive lineman said on The Rich Eisen Show.
Kyler Murray in MVP mode in 2024
In the NFL, it's rare that players are given time to get tough, even the most talented. While he hasn't disappointed so far, we couldn't blame Cardinals fans for expecting more from Kyler Murray, the former first overall pick in the 2019 draft (no season with more than 4,000 passing yards, 19 games played in two years). Murray can at least count on the support of his teammates, like tight end Trey McBride.
“This is my third year here playing alongside him and I've never seen him as motivated as he is now. He's got really good targets and I'm confident he can win the MVP award next season,” the young tight end told NFL Network.
Randall Cobb escapes fire
Randall Cobb's wife posted a message on social media saying they escaped a fire. She also says she was lucky the family was still alive.
The fire was started by their car overloading. It then apparently spread quickly to the Cobbs' property. The family had to wear clothes on their backs and no shoes on their feet in order to escape the fire.
Former Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb is now without a contract. He is 33 years old.
